We recently closed our business. You and I spoke on at least three occasions with regard to enlarging the sign above our store which was the smallest in the shopping center. You advised me that I could not have a larger sign under any circumstances because of our small store frontage (14 feet) . A new business will soon occupy our former store. The Casual Gourmet who runs a business at 1660 Falmouth Road, in the same shopping center, will be opening shortly. As a matter of a fact, their former sign over #1660, which has a larger frontage, was recently removed and simply installed on the roof over #1648. That sign is an illegal sign in size -- it runs across the frontage of Anderson Hardware, the store next door! In light of the restrictions placed upon us in the past, I expect you to advise The Casual Gourmet of the need to remove the sign and replace it with a sign of conforming size. If they are allowed to leave the sign up, I will be compelled to investigate my legal rights with regard to the prior denials from you for a larger sign.
