In regards to your declaration below,if the buyers want a laundry space in the basement, they should allow the current owner to remove the kitchen(with proper building and plumbing permits)and convert the space to a valid laundry room. The laundry room shall be identified as such on the required submitted plan or sketch accompanied by the building permit to create/convert the use accordingly.A plumbing permit is required as well. FYI: With proper notice,I will see that the permits are expedited. Of course the actual work is simple and quick to perform and in no way shall interfere with the closing date unless the delay is for another reason. Be advised that the buyer is welcome to speak to me directly about their options if this proposal is not an accurate representation of their goal. Please let me know. 09&. I wanted to ensure you that they have no intention of using the basement of the home as an apartment. The home is not their primary residence and it is just the two of them utilizing it as a cottage in the summer, the downstairs will be used for laundry and storage. Please let me know if you should need any further clarification. Thanks very much and have a great day! The buyers are fine with the way things are now and would like some time there to decide any remodels etc. They are most likely going to have the laundry on the main level of the house when they do a bathroom remodel -which of course would require the proper permits etc. There is no stoveor cooking elements in the basement and everything else that is there was installed way before the current owner bought the home and before any permits were necessary (home built in 1950). Assessing shows this to be circa 1950 construction. Do you know for sure how many units are really there and can you forward a report over that shows that? I will have Health send them a letter to register so I can get in, too. FYI: I am making a file today. &bin Robin C.
