DEFINITION OF HOMEOWNER Person(s)who owns a parcel of land on which he/she resides or intends to reside, on which there is,or is intended to be, a one or two-family dwelling,attached or detached structures accessory to such use and/or farm structures. A person who constructs more than one home in a two-year period shall not be considered a homeowner. Such "homeowner"shall submit to the Building Official on a form acceptable to the Building Official,that he/she shall be responsible for all such work performed under the building permit. Many homeowners who use this exemption are unaware that they are assuming the responsibilities of a supervisor(see Appendix Q, Rules&Regulations for Licensing Construction Supervisors,Section 2.15) This lack of awareness often results in serious problems,particularly when the homeowner hires unlicensed persons. In this case,our Board cannot proceed against the unlicensed person as it would with a licensed Supervisor. The homeowner acting as Supervisor is ultimately responsible. To ensure that the homeowner is fully aware of his/her responsibilities,many communities require,as part of the permit application, that the homeowner certify that he/she understands the responsibilities of a Supervisor. You agree that if(i)the System needs any repairs that are not the responsibility of SolarCity under this Limited Warranty,(ii)the system needs to be removed and reinstalled to facilitate remodeling of your Home or(III)the system is being relocated to another home you own pursuant to the Power Purchase Agreement,you will have SolarCity,or another similarly qualified service provider,at your expense,perform such repairs,removal and reinstallation,or relocation. (b) Removal/Moving. SolarCity will remove and replace the System from your roof while roof repairs are being made for a payment of$499. You will need to provide storage space for the System during such time.Where permitted under the PPA, SolarCity will work with you to move the System to your new home as follows:SolarCity will conduct an audit of your existing Home and new home to determine if a move is commercially feasible.
