Test Hole Log, Lot 1B off Rte.. 6A., West Barnstable for Robert C. and Inez Kareka Gentlemen:. On December 21, 1972- 1 observed a Test hole dug at the location indicated on the accompanying sketch plan, noting the soil strata indicated below.. No percolation test was conducted, as either the medium-coars- e. sand- gravel or the medium-coarse sand strata will prgve- suit- able to allow installationlof a sub-surface sewage.- dis- posal system. It is my recommendation, however, that the clay hard- pan layer be removed and replaced with clay-free- grav el. allowing for the installation of seepage pits rather than a leaching field. This test hole was dug at the. top of a - knoll,, and it is my opinion that the strata encountered should be similar for the installation of a sewage dis- posal system located within a reasonable distance from where the soil, was tested.
