O'Connell, R.S., Health Inspector for the Town of Barnstable. This inspection ,was conducted on the basis of the rental registration in accordance with Chapter 170 of the Town of Barnstable Code. The following violation(s) of the State Sanitary Code were observed: 105 CMR 410.5.00: Owner's Responsibility to Maintain Structural Elements • Multiple areas (siding, trim boards and window sills) on the exterior of the dwelling are rotten and do not exclude; wind, rain, snow and rodents. They are not watertight, free from chronic dampness, in good repair and in every way fit for the use intended. • Observed rotten exterior window sills on multiple windows. Three (3) on the . South side of dwelling and one (1) on the eastern;side of dwelling. • Cellar window broken. • Bath tub/shower area not sealed and in disrepair. 105 .CMR 410 501: Weathertiaht Elements: • Side door in kitchen area had large gaps between door and doorframe. • Multiple areas on exterior of dwelling are not weather tight as mentioned above. . 105 CMR 410.550(B)—Extermination of Insects,Rodents and Skunks., Observed rodent droppings throughout basement area. QAOrder letters\Hous-ing viol ations\Rental,ordinance 190 plum st 7-14-15.doc r 1 You are directed to correct the violations listed above within thirty (30) days of your receipt of this notice by obtaining building permit(s) from the Town of Barnstable Building Division and repairing or replacing all exterior siding, trim, and windows that are rotten and do not exclude wind, rain, snow and rodents; that are not watertight, free from chronic dampness, in good repair and in every way fit for the use intended; by repairing or replacing door mentioned above so it is weather tight; by hiring Massachusetts licensed exterminator to exterminate all rodents within dwelling; by repairing or replacing shower back splash; by repairing basement , window. You may request a hearing before the Board of Health if written petition requesting same is received within ten (10) days after the date the order is served. However, these violations must be corrected within twenty four hours regardless of any request for a hearing. Non-compliance will result in a fine of$100.00 per violation.
