Shubael Pond Phosphorus Inactivation (Alum Treatment)

Dear Ms. Karle:
Herewithin is a total of nine copies of the enclosed Notice of Intent (NOI) application for the above
referenced project. The proposed project will apply aluminum sulfate (alum) at a not to exceed dosage
of 13.5 grams per meter squared to the sediments in Shubael Pond that are located at depths 8-meters
or deeper.
I look forward to discussing the project with you and the Commission on December 13, 2022. A
complete copy of the NOI application has been submitted to the MassDEP Southeast Region Office. If
