This trailer is expected to be necessary for 12- 18 months while they look for another location, Mr. De Lacy explained. Engineering sought clarification. The applicant has presented three options. Option 1 - located in parking area, at edge of pavement Option 2 - in parking area- negatively impacted the parking configuration & traffic flow. Option 3 - to dig out a section of the hill in order to accommodate trailer. Engineering asked about utilities and cable provisions. They will add a telephone pole, and provide all necessary utilities. Health asked the applicant if this site was connected to town sewer. Later, it was determined that the applicant is currently in the process of connecting to the town sewer. The Fire Department expressed concerns. They want to ensure proper access and alarming. Sprinklers are desired and a fire lane is requested. This unit shall be connected to the fire alarm in the main building. The Building Commissioner advised the applicant of a 50' set back requirement. He inquired about the exact number of staff members to be located in the proposed trailer. The applicant responded that 6 employees would be housed there. The Commissioner asked if the public shall have access to the trailer for any reason. Mr. de Lacy responded negatively. It was determined that handicap accessibility shall not be required in this case. Where are the restroom facilities? The panel was informed that the trailer is not equipped with restrooms. Personnel would be required to use the existing facilities in the main building. The Commissioner inquired about the loss of existing parking stalls and lighting provisions. There is no expansion of staff or intestification of use. The existing parking appears to be more than sufficient and therefore is not deemed to be an issue. Discussion ensued regarding the length of time that the applicant intends to maintain the trailer. The Commissioner explained that enterprises are prohibited.from-conducting p y trailers as a permanent_solutions�ight e month-s-is`too long.-This business in temorar s� length-of time-would'require a_ZBA_decision. A.period of twelve months was thought to be'reasonable. Conclusion: Continued. The applicant was advised to submit a revised plan designating option one. The applicant shall provide a fire lane and sprinkler connection in accordance with the Fire Department requirements.
