At the rear of the garage was an apartment with a single bedroom, kitchen and bath. The owner referred to the area as an "apartment". When I asked the owner to separately number the main house from the apartment, he stated that the apartment was not legalized with the Town. He stated that he originally finished the area as an office and later converted it to living space. The only concern I have with egress is there is no stairs to grade from the rear egress. Would you please look at this to determine the use of the area? If it is considered an apartment, it needs to be numbered separately. If it is not considered an apartment, it gives the buyer a false impression on the legal use of the space. Thank you for your attention to this issue.
