He has decided not to have the tenants of this residence to take down a stockade fence that was never approved by the Old Kings Highway Historical. It is very stressful to live in a village that has rules in place for a reason and not all have to abide by them. He personally told me that I could not go home and build a fence but, there's is okay to have. This is due to the fact that there are other problems in ®tf)y this house. r_j _ I am aware that there are multiple people living in the garage, this in includes 2 pit bulls. One of which recently attacked another dog who was walking by on a leash. He was also aware of this situation. The owner had no reaction time due to this fence that has been allowed. 6-CA-- Now we come upon school, this fence in approximately 35 to 40 feet away from a bus stop. There are` about 4 children who use this bus stop in the morning. All of which have to stand there for anywhere' between 10 to 15 minutes. If one of these dogs gets loose from behind this fence that he is allowing to ll stay up, then these children will have no reaction time to get away from the dog. So it seems the town is willing to put children in danger over a fence that isn't even supposed to be c there. Therefore we the parents of the children at the bus stop will be holding the Town of Barnstable fully responsible for anything that should happen to a child at this bus stop. It is also disconcerting that an employee's car from 200 Main Street was seen in the driveway of this residence after I was there talking to Mr. Roma. So does one need to have a family member work in the town in order to not have to abide but the rules? As now I have had to disclose as to whom I am in the neighborhood, I expect that there will be no retaliation against my family or property. If there is then I will be holding the town responsible. I had r • Page 2 August 13, 2008 started on this situation in June. It is now August; they are telling people that they are moving to Yarmouth, I personally do not foresee this happening. I even asked if the dogs could be inside for bus stop time, and was told no. I was then told by another town employee that she had more pull then I as a concerned parent. And she maybe able to make that happen. I am looking out for the safety of the children at this point in time and could careless if the town wants to allow that many people to live in an 800 square foot house and a garage. look forward to seeing the children being able to play outside again, and hope that we will not be returning to this issue again, as it seems to have become a pattern at this house.
