The Barnstable Old King's.Highway Historic District Committee reviewed the application for
Michael Mclsaac submitted by Neal Holmgren of Solar Rising LLC,on April 19,2018,for the
installation of 24 LC 320,all black,solar modules, flush mounted to the South/front elevation..
During the May 2018 hearing,the members heard from the applicants' representative,Neal
Holmgren as well as the homeowner, Michael Metsaae.Mr.Holmgren described the project
noting that he chose the design to be square and uniform with the-shape of the roof,the modules
are black with a matte finish which are low glare and the roof of the home is black.

The direct abutter to the West of the property was present in support of the proposed project as
were several others.There were no abutters present to oppose.
Members deliberated and concurred that the location of the solar panels on the front elevation are
highly visible from a public way,specifically Route bA,and are not in keeping with the overall
appearance of the Old King's Highway Historic District.
Based upon.the review of the application,the Committee voted unanimously to deny the
Certificate of Appropriateness for lvhchael Mclsaa.c of 2530 Main Street,West Barnstable,Map
257,Parcel005. . .
