Many homeowners who a this exemption are unaware that they are assumin the responsibilities of a supervisor (see Appendix Q,Rules &Re tions for Licensing Construction Supervisors,Section 215) This lack of awareness often . results in serious problems,p .cularly when the homeowner hires unlicensed persons. In this case,our Board cannot proceed against the unlicens person as it world with a licensed Supervisor. The homeo er acting as Supervisor is ultimately responsible. To ensure that a homeowner is fully aware of his/her responsibilities,many com unities require,as part of the permit application,th the homeowner certify that helshe understands the responsibilities f a Supervisor.
