The permit request is to demolish a boathouse at 205 Scudder Lane, Barnstable,MA, which burned during May, 2005. Photographs and a plot plan were provided with the permit request which was dated July 14, 2005. The Conservation Commission and Building Commissioner have visited the site, and deemed the request an emergency for reasons of safety and health, as the boathouse is located directly beside the beach on Barnstable Harbor. The Executive Committee has reviewed the DCPC regulations and the Cape Cod Commission Act on behalf of the Commission, and has determined that the demolition permit under consideration may be allowed, and the demolition may go forward.
