A contractor was hired to change the angle of the light and the "on" switch was taped over so that a tenant will not accidentally leave it turned-on in the future. Hi Tracey, That is correct; the owner of the flood lights has not contacted this Office yet as it has only been three days since the letter was placed in the mail. There is no established deadline, correct. Flood lights being turned-on all night is not a health code violation. We are not aware of whether this is accidental or intentional. But we wrote the letter with the intention of making the owner aware of the situation and to discuss the idea of being a "good neighbor." My suggestion would be to redirect the lighting away from neighboring windows and to turn the lights off after use each night. Brian Florence was copied on the letter informing the owner that the Town received this complaint. He may have some additional information regarding the use of flood lights as it may or may not be violation of any zoning codes.
