Additionally, pursuant to 310 CMR 40.1406, we are notifying you that a portion of the public roadway and/or right-of way is within the boundaries of the release area (referred to by the Massachusetts Contingency Plan as a "Disposal Site"). A copy of the Site Plan, RNF (BWSC 103 Form), and Information Notice to Property Owners (BWSC 122 Form) is attached. This RNF and PSNC pertains to a sudden release of iNon-polychlorinated biphenyl (Non-PCB) mineral oil dielectric fluid (MODF). During severe weather on October 27 and 28, 2021, a release of approximately 26 gallons of MODF occurred from pole-mounted transformer in the vicinity of 99 Old Post Road which impacted the asphalt roadway and soil along the Old Post roadway. This release was reported to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) on October 29, 2021 and was assigned Release Tracking Number (RTN) 4-0029062. As indicated in the PSNC, response actions conducted at the Site including the removal of the damaged transformer and MODF impacted materials, were successful in achieving remedial objectives and a condition of No Significant Risk such that a Permanent Solution with No Conditions has been achieved for this release. Pursuant to 310 CMR 40.1403(9), local officials may request an opportunity for additional public _ involvement activities related to any Immediate Response Action.
