RE: Gasoline Storage Tank---Hyannis Port Pier
Dear Mr. -Childs,
Perhaps you can help me with a small
problem. We are aware of our responsibility
as possessors of an underground storage tank
regarding the November 20, 1980 test deadline.
We have not been able, because of various
problems, to determine until now just how much
gasoline we have sold this past summer. We
now have enough information so that our Board
may decide whether to continue or abandon our
gasoline sales. Unfortunately, I cannot
schedule a Directors meeting until Thanksgiving
week.
Accordingly, would you be willing to grant
us a 30 day extension on the tank test deadline?
If we decide to keep the facility, we will
comply promptly. If we choose not to continue,
Gulf Oil will remove the tank, etc. in the
approved manner.

RE: Gasoline U/G Tank
Hyannisport Civic Assoc.
Dear Mr. Kelly:
This is in regard to our earlier letter dated 12/4/80
wherein we stated that we have terminated gasoline deliveries
to the above location and are considering the replacement of the
storage.
Please be advised the decision has been made to remove the
existing 1000 gallon steel underground tank and install a 1000
gallon fiberglass tank. We are now in the process of developing a
work scope and preparing the. necessary paperwork to solicit bids.
We have requested our contractors to reply to our bid request by .
January 3rd, 1981.
As soon as the bids are received and evaluated, we will award
this job and inform the contractor to begin work as soon as possible,
weather conditions permitting.

issued under SE 3-729. Commission is to be notified at least
