Complaint Description: Small diesel spill at 1481 Route 132, Hyannis.
At 1:OOPM LM was called down to investigate a
haz.waste spill. the Hyannis Fire
Dept. explained that a 1981 VW rabbit had
dumped the diesel fuel from it's leaking gas
tank. The owner of the VW is
56 Harlow Rd. sandwich, MA 02563.
Insurance company is Mass Homeland Inc.,
license plate 69RG00.
Actions Taken/Results: DEP said it was not a reportable spill. Sand
was deposited over the diesel fuel and left to
absorb. Enviro-safe (Nick Christiani)was
called (508-888-5478)to dispose of the
contaminated sand. Three drums were
collected and stacked to be removed at a later
date. the property manager
