I responded to in E-826 with FF's Lanman and Keenan from the Ramada Inn (A980375). We found this vehicle, a white Grumman step van, Mass Reg. E80 698 registered to Landry Neilson of 10 Grant Street, Plymouth disabled on Lewis Bay Road. Mr. Neilson stated that he had come from Yarmouth, through Baker Square, up Main St. to the east end rotary when he began to have engine trouble. He drove around the rotary and stopped on Lewis Bay Road. I noted a small puddle of engine oil under the vehicle and which we applied speedy to so as to prevent this from entering a nearby drain. I check of the area found what appeared to a separate oil spill from alarm 980374 coming from Yarmouth, up Main St. to the rotary and then to Lewis Bay Road. As we were gain information from Mr. Neilson the Barnstable DPW sander came by in response to the first spill. We made the driver aware of the above and he stated he would sand the area as well as the main intersections again. Mr Neilson was instructed by me to have his tow operator clean up the oil under his vehicle before leaving the scene. We returned to quarters. Lt. Dean L. Melanson 23-APR-98
