Attention: Mr. Edward B+ry
Dear Mr. BArry:
As per our telephone conversation with you and Mr. Bornstein,
I will outline our intended usage of the Motorcycle Repair Building
that is located on 353 Stevens Street in_3yannCs. This building
will be used for our Research and Development Laboratory. The
types of products to be developed will be polyethylene foam and
items that use polyethylene foam.
We intend to install a small extrusion line of approximately
2 .5 to 3 . 5 Dia. screw. The output will be capable of up to 300
lb/hr. This line would only run for 3 or 4 hours per day, probably
_. 3 day/week maximum. We will not store any materials outside the
building and will not dispose of any chemicals in the septic or
sewage system. We might dispose of some non-contact cooling water
from time to time. However, this water will not be contaminated
with chemicals.
The types of materials and chemicals that will be used are as
follows:
Polyethylene plastic pellets (solid)
Butane ( gas )
CO2 ( gas )
Nitrogen ( gas )
Talc (food grade powder form)
Color concentrate (Polyethylene)
in pellet form
The amount of chemicals that will be stored on site will not
be larger than 200 pound drums of solid, and not larger than 150
pound cylinder of gas. If any special disposal is required we will
have the proper storage provided and the proper waste haulers
contacted.
,a
Any of the gas we use will be in the form of 150 pound
cylinders and stored inside the building if allowed or in an
enclosed area as required outside the building as approved by the
Fire Marshall.
---------------------] We will receive this material
Flame retardants ] mixed into the Polyethylene
Anti-stat ] Pellets therefore no powders
Aging Additives ] will be present.
---------------------
If MSDS are required please contact the writer.
Sincerely,
Richard J. Zuti
Vice President Operations
