I have several questions regarding my personal health and safety due to conditions in' this apartment. I have addressed these questions to the landlord, but to date have received no satisfaction. One area of particular concern to me is that the smoke detectors are not functioning. I have been involved in a serious auto- mobile accident and the idea of not receiving adequate warning in the event of fire is very frightening, to say the least.
