CMichael A:Ra_ ndall-21 o-of42jF_r'e"s.h'-Holes'Road`was arrested at 145 Union St. in Yarmouthport in an alleged attack on a woman. Upon searching the residence, police officers found a loaded .357 Magnum handgun with an obliterated serial number. Yarmouth police and the Barnstable County Sheriffs Department are investigating the incident. Randall faces multiple charges, including felony assault to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition,assault and battery, possession of stolen property,destruction of property and breaking and entering in the nighttime. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Monday in Barnstable District Court. CONNORS AND KAREN JEFFREY February 28,2011 2:00 AM HYANNIS—A 31-year-old man was shot and killed at 42 Fresh Holes Road around 10 p.m. Sunday night,the first murder and second shooting of the year in Hyannis. The victim, identified as Todd Lampley by the Barnstable police,was said by neighbors to have young daughters. "Nightmare on Fresh Holes,that's what it is, nightmare on Fresh Holes,"said Maurice Anderson,who said he lived in the area and was Lampley's friend. Police,who still had not removed the body as late as 11:30 p.m.,said four shots were fired. Neighbors said Lampley was shot through the window, and police were seen shining flashlights on the windows of the duplex. Lampley was implicated in the 2007 shooting death of Jacques Sellers, 18, on General Patton Drive, according to court testimony in October 2010 during the trials of two men-Anthony Russ who was acquitted of Sellers'death and Julian Green,who was gound guilty of second degree murder. He was automatically sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 15 years. DuringGreen's G ee s Lampley denied that he had anything to do with the murder. But he admitted that at the time of the shooting he was having problems with two brothers living at 36 General Patton Drive—the house where Sellers was killed by a stray bullet.Additionally, on the night of Sellers'murder, a police tracking dog led officers to Lampley's house. Neighbors,who gathered in the street and on the sidewalks in the dark, grieved at the news. "Don't tell me that!"cried one, over and over after a friend told him Lampley had died. "He didn't deserve what happened to him,"said Nellie Anderson, 51,who added that Lampley had moved to the area from Mississippi around 10 years ago. Approximately 10 cruisers and unmarked police cars were gathered in the area. Yellow police tape marked the area as a police dog,which had previously been at the crime scene, periodically barked loudly from a cruiser, startling residents who gathered to watch the scene unfold.
