The addition would be 5.5 x 19.2, as indicated on the Plot Plan dated June 17, 1987 and submitted with the filing. Because this is a corner lot, the front setback is applicable from both streets. Appendix A The petitioner seeks relief under Section J/of the Town of Barnstable Zoning By-Laws. Attorney Hopkins suggested that a variance is in order and further submit that the shape of the lot affects this parcel while not affecting houses or other parcels in the neighborhood. He further suggests that if this were not a corner lot, the petitioner could build the addition as a matter of right - a literal enforcement of the By-Law would provide a hardship to the petitioner. Photographs were presented for viewing by the Board. • The dwelling will remain a residence and the addition would not increase the number of bedrooms.
