(See attached detail sheet and picture). Some of the cases will be wall mounted and others will be on 4"x4" pressure treated and gray stained posts. On the top of the case will be lettered with vinyl reading "Welcome to Hyannis Village" and on the bottom"Cape Cod's Main Street by the Sea". BUSINESS DIRECTORY - The cases will contain GIS-based 3x5' business directory maps illustrating the downtown area along Main Street from School Street to Sherman Square. All businesses will be listed alphabetically and by category (and color coded accordingly). The map will also show public parking lots, ATM machines, public restrooms, and points of public interest (i.e. JFK Museum, Town Green, Hyannis Library, etc.). Space will also be provided in the case for upcoming downtown events and activities. ACCESSORY SIGNS —With the map cases small accessory signs would be included in some locations for public identification. Wooden 6"x48" flat accessory signs with vinyl lettering reading "Village Information" would be located above some of the cases as identified. Small round wooden projecting signs measuring 18" in diameter and reading "Village Info" would be added where map cases are installed off the public sidewalk and not easily recognizable. Illustrations of these two accessory signs are attached. LOCATION - The proposed locations of the Business Directory map Cases are identified and pictured below. The total number of cases is subject to Town approval and the BID budget. 1. Corner of Main & Sea Street mounted on old abandoned sign post on Dunkin Donuts lot This map case would be installed on existing sign posts at the southwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and Sea Street. The existing post are metal pipes measuring 4 feet on center and 10'2" in height. The new case would be installed directly on the post and an accessory"information" sign would be installed directly above the case. The upper port of the post would be used to support a new awning over the case. Lighting would be installed at a later date. 2. West End Walkway (wall mounted unit)—592 Main Street (September). This alley is the connection between Main Street and the public restrooms and parking lot on the West End. The BID will be reconstructing the area is September with new brick and concrete pavers, trellis, and landscaping. The map case would be wall mounted with an accessory flat "information sign" on the west wall of the alley. 3. Kennedy Studios, 574 Main Street Wall mounted on east side of building with"Village Information" flat sign above 4. Main Street Miniature Golf/Steve & Sue's Ice Cream, 531 Main St. Post mounted on brick pavers in front of golf course and next to Gigi's Gift Shop. 5. Corner of Main Street and Winter Street Post mounted in existing planter at corner of Main Street and Winter Street. The property is owned by Courtyard Vacations. 6. Rockland Trust Alley to North Street Parking Lot, 442 Main Street The BID is working with Rockland Trust (formally Fleet Bank location) to open this alley connection to the public parking lots off North Street. This could become a major . connection to Main Street and the alley is very attractive. If this connection is made we would like to install a wall mounted case of the east side of the building with a flat "Village Information" sign directly above it and a"Village Info" projecting sign on the corner of the building on Main Street. 7. Hyannis Post Office next to gazebo. This is a post mounted sign in front of the post office and directly west of the gazebo. There is an existing cement pad of the sidewalk and the sign would be installed behind this. We would also install an awning over the sign with permission from the Town. 8. Alberto's Restaurant Alley (wall mounted), 360 Main Street This wall mounted sign would be installed in alley between Main Street and the North Street public parking lot. It would be located on Alberto's west wall and replace the existing Menu Board closer to Main Street. An awning would be installed overhead and matching the existing awnings on this side of the building. The directory case would be internally lighted and a projecting"Village Info" sign would be installed on the Main Street corner of the building. 9. Richard's Gallery, Corner of Main Street and Ocean Street, 337 Main St. This would be wall mounted on the east end of the Gallery facing Main Street. The case would be externally lighted and a flat "Village Information" accessory sign would be installed directly above the case. Alternative Lo cations to this Map Case 9A. Sidewall of Richard's Gallery 9B. Penguin's Sea Grill, Ocean Street wall 9C. Le Petite France Bakery, west wall 10. Corner of Main & Old Colony on CCBT, 307 Main Street This post mounted sign would be located on the CCBT lawn directly behind the existing bench off the sidewalk. The case would include an awning. 11. Colonial Candle Factory, 232 Main Street This case would be post mounted along sidewalk and behind the existing fence in front of Colonial Candle. No lighting or accessory signs would be included at this location. c c DR2 niGLE]7 . ---------------------- 52" 9 M- ffNFORMATff N -54.0,,J /t Lv1YN;'iNHi - _ - N,- VI/JYL I.Errc5 i x V V(Olcom(0 to Hyannis CUUl 111!lillsy 1r wo M DO LY vIOOD /' $03G► SORRD aj' TO P 0-Ms i i i i V4-i2N5HtD (p I VIhP LLArH ` Vlvk {L Lei C--XS i (oo Posts Cape cbd dam ! f&eee fie sea t .g j PART B: HYANNIS VILLAGE DIRECTIONAL SIGNS SIGN LOCATIONS - New directional street signs would be installed in 20 locations around the Downtown Hyannis area. The purpose of these signs are to replace existing and unattractive signs, create a clear and attractive series of directional signs for visitors and residents alike, and to improve the perception of Downtown Hyannis as a well maintained and business-friendly district. Attached is the list of the specific directional signs including locations, existing signage, proposed new signage and pictures. TYPE OF SIGNS — There are generally 4 types of directional signs under this proposal as follows: • Street Intersection Signs with slats • Two Posted Welcome Sign with Panels • Single Posted Public Parking Signs • New Public Parking Replacement Signs Street Intersection Signs with slats — These signs will replace the existing u-channel metal signs are the major Main Street intersections between Old Colony Road and Sea Street. They will in single post 4x4" pressure treated and stained gray. The slats will be wood with Vinyl lettering and include public information such as street, public parking, and places of interest. The bottom slat will be a minimum of 7 feet above the sidewalk. Two Posted Welcome Sign with Panels — These signs will be mounted on 4x4" PT posts stained gray. The sign will include the new BID logo and read "Welcome to Hyannis Village" and "Cape Cod's Main Street by the Sea". Below the welcome sign will be panels for public information including public parking and places of interest. Single Posted Public Parking Signs —These signs will be installed on single 4x4" PT stained posts and replace most of the existing parking signs at the five enter/exit points to public parking lots on North Street and one on South Street and Ocean Street each. The sign will be blue with vinyl lettering and include "public parking", "No overnight parking" and address information (i.e. "Ocean Street", "for 300 Block of Main Street"). New Public Parking Replacement Signs - Several existing white HMSWA parking signs will be replaced with new parking signs that are blue with vinyl letters. The signs will 18"x24" and include the new downtown logo, the public parking symbol, an arrow, and "Hyannis Village". I Cif C.
