Th is n eighborhood has expended money, time, and effort to defend the need to keep this acreage Residential in exclusion of all
others.
We live here and have done our share of b eing scapegoated .
We have suffered enou gh land devaluation, and loss of quiet enjoyment, at the hands of those who have no stake in the
outcome, as well as those who have profited b y it.
Wh en purchasing ou r h omes, due diligence assured us that we were in an historically Resid en tial Zone that has been defended
by the Tow n of Barnstab le as a matter of precedent.
In allowing the construction of an Electrical Power Plant n ow , without strict controls, and not demanding th at the land damage
be mitigated and the angles of repose of the sides of the pit be legally amended to allow for residential construction, seems as if the
Town is rewarding bad behavior.
