Background
The subject property at 641 Main Street is a rectangular shaped two story structure with a flat roof. The
front half of the building was constructed circa 1920. The rear half was added in the early 1950s. The
center commercial entry and stucco and wood front façade have been well preserved over the decades.
Proposal
The Applicant proposes to improve the exterior patio facing the public right of way on Main Street and
install a new sign. The proposal is install a 7’6” by 2’ Azek sign with a metal frame and vinyl lettering. It is
proposed to be held by what appears to be a metal bracket and will include small spot lights.
Additionally the Applicant proposes to replace the existing patio with a granite patio and field stone
veneer decorative wall with a granite cap.

The Commission may wish to request the dimensions of the proposed patio, intent of patio (likely display
of products), and if any additional lighting is proposed. Additionally the Commission may need more
information for the sign regarding type of bracket proposed, material and size of bracket. Type of
lighting proposed and location it will be sited; color of sign and frame.

My Generation Energy for Ronald Bourgeois (owner) – 71 Main Street, Hyannis
Background
The subject property at 71 Main Street is a rectangular shaped two and one half story structure with a
gable roof and Italianate features built circa 1860. Several additions to the rear have occurred over the
years.
Proposal
The Applicant proposes to install 48 roof mounted black solar panels.
The Commission may wish to confirm color and materials for bracketing and frames of the panels. The
Commission may also request more information on wiring installation visible from a pubic way.

Brazilian Grill - 674 (680) Main Street, Hyannis
Background
The subject property at 680 Main Street is an active restaurant. The property was originally constructed
as a single family home in the mid-1800s by Captain Daniel Bacon. The property has added multiple
single story additions over the years. The restaurant was permitted for signage in 2000 and the glass
addition was permitted in 2011. Further improvements were permitted in 2022 to the front patio area.
Proposal
The Applicant proposes two replacement signs. The “upper” sign shall be approximately 8’3” by 2’7”.
The sign shall be alumni lettering with gooseneck lighting. The “lower” sign shall be approximately 7’8”
by 3’. The sign shall be aluminum and have in ground linear lights under the sign.
The Commission may wish to confirm the existing signage shall be removed and confirm no internal
lighting.

Gerard T. Burke – 27 Pleasant Street, Hyannis
Background
The subject property at 27 Pleasant Street is a small single story cape that may date back earlier than
1770. Historical records indicate this structure may be the second oldest home in Hyannis dating back
closer to 1700. The site is fenced on three sides and has a gravel parking area.
Proposal
The applicant proposes is to renovate the exterior by replacing white cedar shingles and red cedar
clapboard to match the existing. The applicant also proposes to replace the asphalt roof shingles in the
same footprint and replace the trim and gutters in the same location. In addition the applicant shall
expand the gravel parking area.
The Commission may want to clarify the full scope. No lighting appears to be proposed. Also the
application mentions signage but no sign is proposed. A separate application would be required.

Eric Leckstrom/Meagher Construction – 585 Main Street, Hyannis
Background
The subject property at 585 Main Street is a one story rectangular shaped structure with a flat roof. The
commercial building was constructed circa 1920 and has large glass window store fronts.
Proposal
The Applicant proposes to replace the upper front façade with Azek composite material. The front
corners shall be wrapped with a faux column detail. The lower stucco portion shall be replaced with an
Azek composite trim.
The Commission may wish to better understand the color scheme proposed for the front façade. The
Commission may also wish to confirm no lighting is being proposed and that no new signage is being
proposed.

Silsivania Bricklin d/b/a Echo Salon & Spa – 548 Main Street, Hyannis
Background
The subject property at 548 Main Street is a one story rectangular shaped structure with a flat roof and
an entry overhang. The commercial building was constructed circa 1965 and has large glass window
store fronts.
Proposal
The Applicant proposes to replace the existing wall, hanging and window signage with the following; a 5’
by 2’ wall sign that is black with gold lettering and collar. The lettering will be raised PVC, one inch thick,
a hanging sign that is 4’ by 2’ with a black PVC background and engraved gold lettering to hang below
the overhang. The applicant also seeks a small open/close sign to hang in the window and a trade flag at
5’ by 4’.

Rafael Silva d/b/a Nonno Pizza Cucina & Bar – 640 Main Street, Hyannis
Background
The subject property at 640 Main Street is a rectangular shaped two story structure with a pitched roof
circa 1975.
Proposal
The Applicant proposes to replace the existing wall sign with a 40” by 84” wall sign made of stainless
steel lettering and no lighting.
