Dear ZBA Members,
Zooming in on map 3 at the above link, you can see that the berm is only indicated behind Mary
Burkenshaw’s and Anne Salas’ property. It appears that TJA is only planning to put a berm behind those
two residential properties.
According to the ordinance, a berm and plantings should be placed along all boundaries abutting
residences.
Page six at the link above indicates dimension/height of the berm inconclusively. A question for our legal
dept. is : Is the height of the completed, soil (settled) berm to block the site from view of residents from
their properties completely? Will that be accomplished with a 24’ berm? It will take many years for the
trees, should they survive, to provide adequate screening.
Who is the “...entity, not Eversource...” that Atty Ford would not disclose? How will they control
vegetation if not by glyphosate. There are many herbicides that cause cancer and even have a
'combustible dust' warning according to the EPA:

Clarification of these points is critical. If a board member would inquire of Tja’s attorney or Atlantic
Design at the next meeting we may have answers.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
Anne Salas
