Gentlemen: The Cotuit Federated Church is proposing to add to the Cotuit Post Office building located on lot #14 on map #35. The reason for the addition is for additional space for post office boxes requested by the U.S. Postal Service. I realize that in order to obtain a building permit, the sewerage system must meet existing requirements and therefore am requesting a variance from these regulations for the following reasons. 1. The existing disposal system consists of one cesspol eight feet in diameter inside and ten feet deep. It is located fifty feet from the building. The system has been used for twenty years with no accumulation of solids or liquid. 2. The building has one sink and one toilet. 3. The amount of water used from November 1977 to October 1978 was 12,610 gallons. J . I feel that to .add to an already adequate system would be an unecessary and unjustified expence for the Cotuit Federated Church. R e tful request d, ha?a es E. Hamblin, Builder CHARLES E.
