Furnish two (2) non-clog, submersible sewage •; g pumps as manu- factured by Clow Corporation, Pump Division, Melrose Park, Illinois. Pumps shall be 4 x 4 x 7 x 2 size, Yeomans Series 9000, non-clog sub- mersible sewage pumps. Each pump shall be designed for a capacity of 125 gpm against 11 feet total dynamic head. B. Motors. Each pump shall have a U.L. listed, hermetically sealed, submersible type, electric motor of . 3/4 HP, 1,750 RP14 for operation on 208 volt, 3 phase, 60 hertz power designed to Class I ,Group D, Division I specifications, for use in hazardous locations and for general use in pumping water and sewage. The motor nameplate horse- power rating shall not be exceeded by the brake horsepower require- ment of the pump for the design condition of service specified and for the impeller diameter furnished. The motor shaft shall be stain- less steel, impervious to the liquid and waste matter which is being pumped. Thermal overload protection and a moisture detection system shall be built into the motor. Two mechanical seals shall be used to contain the oil in the probe and detection chamber. Two probes shall be supplied in this chamber for moisture detection. The mechanical seals shall have carbon and ceramic mating faces, stainless steel metal parts and Buna N elasto- meters. Thirty (30) feet of U.L. approved, extra hard usage, multi-conductor cable with ground wire shall be supplied with the motor. Lifting eyes shall be cast into the motor housing, adequately designed to lift the pump-motor assembly. C. Pump Construction: The pump shall be cc nstructed in accordance with ` ASTM Specifications Ao. A48-64, Class 30, which shall include cast iron for integral support legs , pump casing and impeller. All pipe flanges shall be faced and to the thickness required for compliance with 125 lb. American Standard. Eclt slcts are acceptable in lieu of drilled holes. . i D. Pu:nc Casing. Tne bottom bearing is to 5 be a locked shaft, high thrust, anti-friction bearing which prevents shaft movement. Quick Lift Assembly Furnish two (2) "Quick Lift" slide rail mechanism to guide submersible pump from upper level, to its operational location in the sump basin. A. Elbow: The base elbow shall be cast in accordance with ASTM Speci- fication A48-64, Class 30. All pipe flanges shall be faced and to the thickness required for compliance with 125 lb. American Standard. Bolts slots are acceptable in lieu of drilled holes. Bolt slots .1 in the base are to be provided for mounting the elbow to the concrete floor or sole plate. The base elbow is specifically designed to permit the slide mechanism to link up the pu.Tp with the base elbow. B. Ftd:l . The gul-'e rail is to be constructed From standara structural angle, and is to be attached to the curb frame or door frame at the upper level by an attachment bracket. The rail shall be of the size indicated on t.'ie drawings. E C. Guide Shoes : Two teflon coated shoes are to guide the pump assembly down the guile rail until the shoes contact the discharge elbow. The pump then fulcrums about this point and positions the pump discharge flange to properly engage it with the discharge elbow. D. Jam washer : A neoprene Sam washer shall fit in the slide part to minimize leakage between the pump casing and base elbow. E. Sl;de: The pump -1iscjrarge is to be bolted to the slide on one side and the guide shoes are to be attached to the other side. The slide is to be guided in its descent and ascent by the rail and glide shoes. The guide rail upper bracket shall permit removal of the pump without having to disconnect the guide shoes. F. Chain: A 1/4" welded and galvanized steel chain shall lift the pump- motor assembly from the sump basin. The upper end shall be hung on a hook on the access door. G.
