I ESTIMATE 6=9 GALLONS OF FLUID ON AN UNPAVED FROZEN LOT WITH CRUSTED STONES FOR A SURFACE. WE RESPONDED WITH E-822 AND FF DARDIA AND FF BLACK UPON OUR ARRIVAL WE FIND A BFI TRUCK WITH A DUMPSTER UP IN THE AIR WITH A HYDRAULIC LINE BLOWN AND THE CONTAMINATED AREA ISOLATED TO AN UNPAVED PARKING LOT AWAY FROM ANY STORM DRAINS OR CATCH BASINS MR PRADA WAS SHOVELING THE CONTAMINATED STONES INTO A BARREL AND MOPPING UP THE FLUID WITH PADS. WE CALL THE BOARD OF HEALTH AND A MR GLEN HARRINGTON RESPONDED.HIS REQUIREMENTS WERE TO HAVE A( L.S.P) INSPECT THE CLEAN-UP AND SIGN A BILL OF LADING FOR THE BARRELS OF CONTAMINATED SOIL.THE(L.S.P.)WAS TO THEN CALL INSPECTOR HARRINGTON AND HE WOULD INSPECT THE CLEAN UP. •THE TRUCK WAS A BFI TOP DUMPING DUMPSTER TRUCK MA REG C74211 WE EXPLAINED TO THE BFI REPRESENTATIVE WHAT THE HYFD AND THE BOARD OF HEALTH EXPECTED TO BE DONE TO REMEDY THIS SITUATION. Comments for Incident: 97 000106 Exposure: 00 Date: 2/3/97 RECEIV-l?A CALL FROM THE POLICE REQUESTING AN ENGINE TO THE BARNSTABLE AIRPORT,AT THE REPUBLIC PARKING SYVEM LOT FOR A CAR LEAKING FLUID.RESPONCE ENGINE 822 ONLY WITH FIREFIGHTER COLTON AND LIEUT.CADRIN. *UPON ARRIVAL MET OFFICER RICK MORSE AND BILL CROSSMAN THE MANAGER OF THE REPUBLIC PARKING SYSTEM LOT THAT IS LEASED FROM THE BARNSTABLE AIRPORT.THEY SHOWED US A CAR IN THE LOT LEAKING FLUID. THE LEAK APPEARED TO BE ABOUT HALF WAY DOWN THE DRIVELINE AND UNDER THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. IT APPEARED TO BE 2 SEPERATE LEAKS ONE WAS LIKE MOTOR OIL AND ONE APPEARED TO BE GASOLINE. WE PUT DOWN A COATING OF STARDUST ON THE PARKING LOT OVER THE SPILL AND HAD THE POLICE CALL THE DUTY WRECKER DAVIS TOWING ARRIVED ON LOCATION AND REMOVED THE CAR.THE CAR IS A 1981 BMW COLOR GRAY MODEL 320-I. THE VIN # IS WBAAG3301 B8014309. THE MA. REG. IS 783-SNP IT EXPIRES IN MARCH OF 1988. THE OWNER AS LISTED ON THE REGISTRATION IS KENNETH I PARKER(DBA)TUCKERNUCK INN 60 UNION ST. NANTUCKET MA. 02554-3871. DAVIS REMOVED THE CAR AND ENGINE 822 CLEARED THE CALL AND RETURNED TO QTRS.AT 1139 HRS. CAPTAIN JOSEPH P.CABRAL JR. 2/3/97.
