I RESPONDED IN E-826 WITH FF'S LANMAN AND KEENAN,BPD ALSO RESPONDED. UPON OUR ARRIVAL WE OBSERVED AN OIL LIKE SHEEN ON THE ROADWAY IN THIS AREA.THERE WAS A MINIMAL SHEEN ON MAIN ST NEAR THE INTERSECTION AS WELL AS CAMP ST.THIS APPEARED TO BE FROM VEHICLES DRIVING THROUGH THE SPILL.THE AREAS OF HEAVIEST CONCENTRATION WERE RTE 28 AT YARMOUTH ROAD AND YARMOUTH APPROACHING MAIN ST. NO WHERE DID WE FIND A CONCENTRATION OF THE MATERIAL HEAVY ENOUGH THAT A CLEAN UP EFFORT COULD BE ACCOMPLISHED. I REQUESTED A SANDER TO THE AREA.BARNSTABLE DPW STATED AN ETA OF 30 MINUTES FOR THE SANDER.BPD TO STAND BY UNTIL THEIR ARRIVAL WE RETURNED TO QUARTERS. LT. DEAN L. ENGINE 44 ALSO ASSISTED IN COVERING THIS MINOR SPILL WITH SPEEDY-DRY AND SAND. WRECKER COMPANY(MASON)ARRIVED ON SCENE TO REMOVE THREE OF THE FOUR VEHICLE. ENGINE 822 CREW HELPED MOVE THE INJURED OPERATOR OF BARNSTABLE POLICE CRUISER EASY 18.AFTER 828 LEFT FOR CCH,THE CREW OF ENGINE 822 DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AND THEN COVERED A SMALL GEAR OIL SPILL WITH SAND. DAVIS TOWING ARRIVED AND REMOVED THE CAR.WHEN THEY GOT THE CRUISER UP ON CAR CARRIER WE FOUND A LEAKING GAS LINE.WE USED PLUG&DIKE AND STOPPED THE LEAK. WE THEN USED A 100 FOOT INCH AND THREE QUARTER HAND LINE AND JAN-SOLVE AND TREATED THE SPILL AND CLEANED THE ROAD SURFACE. ENGINE 822 CLEARED THE CALL AND RETURNED TO OTRS.AT 0910 HRS.
