Suitable sandy material from these areas will be used to nourish beaches in the vicinity of each project. NAE prepared a suitability determination in September of 2020 based on sediment samples collected in the spring of 2020 and subsequent grain size analysis. This Supplemental Sampling and Analysis Plan (SAP) provides additional instructions to further evaluate several channels for beach nourishment that did not meet the exclusionary criteria under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act in the 2020 suitability determination. In addition, the Town of Barnstable has requested that the North Bay (Bay Street) -8 ft MLLW channel be evaluated for beach nourishment and offshore disposal at the Cape Cod Bay Disposal Site (CCBDS). All sampling and testing requirements are provided in the Sampling and Analysis Plan for the Barnstable, MA 10-year Comprehensive Dredge and Beach Nourishment Program, CENAE- R-2015-01632 8 April 2020 (see sections 3, 4, and 5). __________________________________ Sarah Turner Geologist Environmental Resources and Marine Operations Section USACE-New England District Sample ID Latitude
