Farquhar; Bill McKinney Subject: Letter of Support for Dock and Stairway Reconstruction at 160 Lake Elizabeth Drive Dear Darcy, As President of the Red Lily Pond Project Association, I am writing on behalf of the board of directors to provide support for SE3-6050 which proposes reconstruction of a dock and stairway at 160 Lake Elizabeth Drive in the Village of Craigville in Centerville. While the applicant for this proposal is the Christian Camp Meeting Association (CCMA), the owner of the land which constitutes the embankment of Lake Elizabeth, the Red Lily Pond Project, as you know, takes main responsibility for the health and maintenance of Lake Elizabeth. Therefore, the board wants to be sure that the Conservation Commission knows that the proposal is completely supported by our organization. Of particular importance to us is the public access to the use of Lake Elizabeth that the dock and stairway will provide. The only other public access at this time is a small sandy area and we welcome this second point of access. The Lake is small and the proposed dock and stairway are small, which is in keeping for the area. The dock has been used often in the past but due to its disrepair there is no current use. We also note the wide Craigville community support for the rebuilding of the dock and stairway both financially and through the action taken by the CCMA to apply for the permit.
