Here’s a little more local knowledge.
On the list of previous residents is Steve Adams. He is one of three nephews who was taken in by his aunt and
uncle (& famed author) Jane and Kurt Vonnegut when the boys’ mother and father passed away within a day of
each other.
The owner after the Lynches was Dan Adams (no relation to Steve) the director of two movies made locally that
starred Richard Dreyfuss, Rip Torn, Bruce Dern and David Carradine. Mr. Adams served 21 months in prison.
The owners who lived there the longest were the Wiinikainens, a Finnish farming family. Their youngest
daughter was a very close friend. Here’s a page from the book we published, “West Barnstable Remembered”.
Maybe the new owner would like to purchase a copy. You can give her my email.
