Founded in 1968, APCC is the Cape region’s leading nonprofit environmental advocacy and education organization, working for the adoption of laws, policies and programs that protect, preserve and restore Cape Cod’s natural resources. After careful evaluation of the Park City Wind project’s regulatory filings through the federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, the state Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act Office, and the Cape Cod Commission’s Development of Regional Impact process, APCC is confident that the proposed project will successfully avoid significant impacts to the environment from both its offshore and onshore project components, and that any impacts that are unavoidable will be temporary and minimal to negligible in nature. The project applicant has coordinated with relevant federal and state permitting agencies in developing a comprehensive mitigation package that will satisfactorily address any minor impacts that may occur. And importantly, the project will result in substantial environmental benefits to Cape Cod, Massachusetts and New England by providing clean, renewable energy to the regional power grid. Thank you for this opportunity to provide written comments. Sincerely, Andrew Gottlieb Executive Director
