GCP Main LLC - 201 Main Street
Background
The subject property commonly known as 201 Main Street is a large lot predominately occupied by the
former Cascade Motel. The motel ranges from two and one half stories to two stories with a central
parking area. The north east corner of the lot, at Main Street and School Street, now functions as a
private surface parking lot. The conversion from a one-time single family home to surface parking
occurred in the late 1970s according to aerial imagery. The motel has been vacant and abandoned for
several years.
Proposal
The applicant has requested demolition of the existing structures and to redevelop the site with a four
story 95 unit multi family structure with surface and underneath parking, landscaping, and related
improvements. The lower level includes a proposed 1,500 square feet of retail space.
Please see page 20 and 21 of the Supplemental Design Guidelines to review New Construction.
