Please see below comments from the Waterway’s Commiee meeng, August 29, 2023 which was held via zoom at
7:00PM.
1. Cornwall, Craig & Maria, 40 Waterman Farm Road, Centerville, MA 02632, MAP 207/Parcel 091 005. The
applicants propose to re-permit, construct, and maintain boardwalk, ramp and float. The proposed boardwalk,
ramp and float are for non-motorized vessels water access only.
Waterway ’s Commiee and Harbormaster staff was in approval of this project
2. Park City Wind LLC, Craigville Public Beach and Nantucket Sound; New England Wind 1 Connector. Installaon of
two offshore export cables beneath the ocean floor within Town of Barnstable waters, installaon of
underground duct bank and the related infrastructure under town-owned property.
Waterway ’s Commiee by majority was in approval of this project
requesng the work is done in the off season (October- early May) to migate any potenal hazards to
navigaon. Waterway’s Commiee suggested an exclusion zone for the cable laying poron of this project. The
Waterways Commiee requests that if the project schedule of work went beyond the off-season and or at any
me became an issue with navigaon, the Harbormaster would assist with navigaon on locaon. The
Harbormaster would approve of this above informaon and request a detail if navigaon and or any issues
arise. The Harbormaster also requests that if any of the work deemed to be unsafe to navigaon and or a
nuisance to the Town of Barnstable waterways that he could stop work at any me.
3. Daley, Charles M & Janet M, 280 North Bay Road, Osterville, MA 02655, Map
072/Parcel 007. The applicants propose to repair or replace the exisng
permied mber bulkhead. The repair or replacement of the wall will require
water transport of the supplies and potenally two barges to transport the
small excavator machine, water pump and hand tools. This would need to make
access north of the exisng aquaculture grant.
Waterway ’s Commiee and Harbormaster staff was in approval of this project. Requesng that the scope of
work be done in the off season (October-early May) to migate any potenal hazards to navigaon. Work in
conjuncon of the aqua culturists and access the property to the north of the nearby grant. Keep barge in close
proximity of the homeowner ’s property. Move barge or stop work if it becomes a navigaonal issue at the
discreon of the Harbormaster.
