Dear Ms. Karle,
Thank you to the Barnstable Conservation Commission for the Zoom Only meeting tonight. Our best regards to
Mr. Lee who chaired the meeting. We look forward to the Sept meeting.
As you and the BCC members resoundingly heard, the strong and steadfast opposition to Park City Wind
remains and continues. Many unanswered questions and concerns are still up in the air.
Meanwhile, the developer and their team members are simply dismissing the Barnstable citizens’ serious
environmental and
marine and
ecological concerns
with incomplete and unscientific answers
such as “we don’t anticipate” OR
“it is not anticipated.”
(“Anticipation” is an old song from Carly Simon.)
But anticipation does not belong to an environmentally-sensitive and geotechnicallly-heavy project such as Park
City Wind.
We need engineering and science-based answers and studies to buttress the developer ’s claims and statements.
For instance, the EMF response from the team member was particularly insufficient and lacked scientific
substance.
The “sand waves” response was a deja vu experience - kindly refer to the DENIAL of the Park City Wind
application by the Edgartown Conservation Commission for lack of transparency.
The developer needs to crystallize and clarify this environmental concern with scientific and engineering
explanations and studies.
Yes, Vineyard Wind is being started but Please, the developer cannot and should not use this elementary project
as a proof of expertise and experience. This is still experimental- NO actual power has been produced yet.
Lastly - We also note that based on our research, Ken Fitzgerald is a mechanical (not geotechnical) engineer -
please correct us if we are wrong. We need to hear from the “geotechnical engineering” experts from the
developer regarding this heavily-geotechnical engineering project involving HDD and micro tunnel processes.
Not all engineers are created equal. We hope you understand.
We are talking about our Precious,
Irreplaceable and
Beloved Craigville Beach,
a true and unique
Cape Cod Natural Treasure.
Wishing you and the BCC a lovely evening.
Thank you.
Maria and Greg Gerdy

Dear Ms. Karle,
Resending this as a friendly reminder, since you have not responded to the hybrid / in-person hearing request
from last week.
Thank you.

Dear Ms. Karle,
Thank you again for the continuance re: Park City Wind project. It was appreciated by the
Barnstable citizens.
It’s worth noting that there are now very few “purely Zoom” meetings as the worst of the pandemic
is well over and things are relatively stable and BACK to NORMAL.
We are very concerned that the Barnstable Conservation Commission continues to hold “ZOOM
only” meetings - WITHOUT any option for us to attend IN PERSON.
Especially for important matters such as the discussion of fragile and precious wetlands that could
be seriously compromised and conceivably damaged by the Park City Wind project, which many
Barnstable citizens vigorously oppose.
There is a need for a GIVE and TAKE discussion and this is nearly impossible with Zoom, as our
mikes are muted.
It is a form of silencing our citizen voices, is it not?
It would be GREAT if the meeting would allow BOTH zoom and in person.
Kindly provide the Conservation Commission’s rationale and any official reasons WHY it is still
only on Zoom in July 2023, over a year after the pandemic has been officially over.

of the Save Right Whales Coalition.
This was an IN PERSON meeting today:
Thank you for your help.
Wishing you a lovely afternoon.

We hope this finds you well.
We received an email today from Mr. Bob Schulte re: Park City Wind Zoom meeting
scheduled for Tuesday, 11 July 2023.
Given the very short notice from Avangrid to the public about the zoom meeting, is it
possible to move the 11 July date to a later one please?
Likewise, only a very few people in town (14 people) were informed by Avangrid,
which is quite concerning, as you can understand.
We the people would like to be heard and more people would be able to participate if
given a longer lead time for the meeting.
Please see Mr. Schulte’s email below for details.
Your kind help with rescheduling this meeting would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
