The project site consists of approximately .8 acres of land in Osterville. The site was
developed in 1965 with a single-family dwelling, detached garage and all associated
appurtenances including patios, decks, driveway, and a septic system. The rear wing of the house
is an indoor pool.
The wetland resources at the site is a Bordering Vegetated Wetland.
The project as proposed is to remove the existing indoor pool and construct a proposed
addition, deck, pool, and patio.
A corner of the existing indoor pool being removed is located within the 50’ buffer to the
Bordering Vegetated Wetland. All proposed work has been located outside of the 50’ buffer.
Ozone or approved alternative will be used for disinfection of the pool water and a
drainage structure will be provided for pool drawdown. A limit of work consisting of haybales
with silt fencing will be provided to protect the resources.
Buffer zone calculations are provided on the plan. An extensive mitigation area is
proposed in accordance with Conservation Buffer Zone Regulations.
Renovation to the garage and connection to the house are mostly beyond jurisdiction and
have been administratively approved by Conservation Staff.
