Dear Mr/Mrs/MS, Ziino,
Please see forwarded E-mail below Re: the proposed Wendy's drive through at 725 West Main street across from
Barnstable high.
I want to make my opposition noted and have already been put on record as opposing this option.
I Have a house on Riiverview lane and am the Current chair of Both the Planning board and Permanent
building committee in the Town of Millis. The town of Barnstable would be extremely shortsighted to allow this drive
through to be installed with its proximity to the entrance/ exit of the High school.
Regards,

Hi Mr Atsalis,
I am writing to oppose the approval of the proposed Wendy's restaurant at 725 West main street (directly across from
Barnstable high.
I own a home at #300 Riverview Lane in Centerville just down the street from the proposed restaurant which will be
indirectly affected by this .
I am also the chairman of the planning board in the Town of Millis so I am familiar with the review/ approval
process. This location is going to create a traffic nightmare and also a significant risk to pedestrian traffic with its
proximity to the school parking lot.
When school is released each day it creates a backup and this restaurant will only add to the traffic woes.
I fully understand the Town's interest in getting a business into this empty building - a fast food drive through/
restaurant is not the correct choice.
Please see E-Mail that I sent previously to the Town planner Ms Brigham.

Hi Ms. Brigham.
I am the chairman of the planning board for the Town of Millis MA. and I own a residence at #300 Riverview lane and I
would like to express my concerns about the use of this location (715 West main street) as a drive through
establishment.
I see in your decision that there should be a traffic study done in this location and want to confirm that this study was
done when school is in session.
While I understand the Towns desire to have this location occupied it is My opinion that the traffic which becomes
backed up when school is released & during sporting events the road will become gri dlocked with the proposed Wendy's
restaurant.
I also would ask the following questions:
Does this meet the requirement for handicapped parking?
There was a shortfall of required spaces required for onsite parking - if there is a waiver granted where will these cars
park ?
Typically the restaurant is supplied by a Tractor trailer - How is this going to happen in such a tight site?
Do the parking spots meet the town requirement for length - or will this be a requested waiver?
Will there be restrictions on Hours of trash pickup and when the menu board is open as there are residences nearby?
When the line exceeds 11-12 cars the traffic will que on Pine street - effectively blocking a moderately busy street which
will then back up to West Main street.
Unfortunately I am unable to attend the meeting but respectfully ask that my points be added to the site plan review
and even possibly discussed at your meeting.

Richard Nichols
