Our office had been contacted by Mr. Landi, a property manager for the owner at that me, to see what could be maintained regarding the dock at 30 Oxford Drive. This was aer the COC had been issued. I apologize, that I do not have the specific date, however I do recall going to the property. Aer reviewing the COC request that had been submied in 2014, you can see the box was checked as only porons of the project were complete. Yes, the engineer submied an “as built, May 5th 2014” showing only a short secon 11’ secon was constructed (a paral secon). I took the photos during the site visit with Mr. Landi and noted that the property owner could construct the full pier as noted in SE3-5062 (Please see the aached photos). The secon that was constructed was not allowing the person to get beyond the exisng vegetaon. At that me Mr. Landi stated the property owner was ok with seeing how this worked. I had stated if it didn’t work for them, they could construct the rest of the dock, as it made sense to me that the ongoing condions even menon CCA structural material and the sign facing open water….and here the small secon wasn’t even making it to open water. It is usual pracce to allow the applicant to maintain a dock that was permied. I understand a Commissioner stated during the last hearing that it was never constructed. To that I would state, the Commission has always relied on staff to make some judgement calls, when called to do so. I as the Agent did so at that me. I support the proposed applicaon as a seasonal dock. I would also state the property owner could fall back on the prior permit and construct the dock as the approved plan dated Jan. 22, 2103, under a maintenance permit. I hope this informaon helps to clarify things.
