RE: Upcoming Barnstable Conserva!on Commission Public Hearing for Mys!c Lake phosphorus
inac!va!on project
To Whom It May Concern:
As an abu,er within 100 feet of a proposed project, please be advised that a NOTICE OF INTENT
applica!on has been filed with the Barnstable Conserva!on Commission. The Town of Barnstable is the
applicant, 367 Main Street, Barnstable, MA 02601. The project site is 77 acres of 140-acre Mys!c Lake
deeper than 23 feet, off Race Lane (assessor’s maps 062 and 083). The project involves the applica!on of
aluminum compounds to the lake for the purpose of stripping phosphorus from the water column and
inac!va!ng phosphorus in the surficial sediment, which is expected to reduce the produc!on of
cyanobacteria.

March 5, 2024 star!ng at 6:00 PM.
