Aached are comments from the Waterways Commiee Meeng May 21, 2024 @ 7 PM:
1. The Fourth Amendment and Restatement of the FTP Revocable Trust of 2004
dated May 14, 2021, Parsi, Thomas, Trustee, 98 Hayes Road, Centerville, MA
02632, Map 210/Lot 97. The applicant proposes to remove the exisng mber
landing and install a fixed seasonal aluminum dock in seven 4’X10’ secons.
The last 4’X10’ secon will form an “L” at 50 foot out. The depth achieved is
approximately 3’. The secons are seasonal with feet that will rest on the
boom of the lake. Some will be anchored in either by screw anchors with
dock supports or with flexible lines secured to the boom. Anchoring will be
determined by the dock manufacturer during the procurement process.
Waterways Commiee and Harbormaster have no issues with proposed project.
2. Marn, Raymond, 40 Bay Road, Cotuit, MA 02635, Map 7/Parcel 40/Lot 32A.
The applicant proposes to install mber access stairway, pier, ramp, and float.
The proposed pier, ramp and float will extend 62 ‘ seaward of MHW. Waterways
Commiee deferred engineer not present to answer quesons at meeng.
3. Town of Mashpee C/O Rodney Collins, 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee,
MA 02649. Applicant proposes to perform maintenance dredging of three
exisng channels within Popponesset Bay: (1) the approach channel, (2) the
inner channel, (3) the 1916 channel. The dredging will be completed with a
Hydraulic Dredge. This applicaon is being submied to the Town of Barnstable
Conservaon Commission to permit maintenance dredging of the porons of
these channels that are in Barnstable. Waterways Commiee and Harbormaster
have no issues with proposed project.
4. Beker, Harvey and Jayne, 290 Bridge Street, Osterville, MA 02655,
Map093/Parcel 021/Lot 003. The applicants propose to reconstruct and widen
the exisng boardwalks from 2’ to 4’ which is consistent with the current
Conservaon Commission standards. It is proposed to ulize grated decking
for the waking surface which is also consistent with Conservaon Commission
standards. Waterways Commiee and Harbormaster have no issues with proposed
project.
5. George and Laurie Aar, 306 Long Beach Road, Unit 1, 3, and 4, Centerville,
MA, 02632, Map 185/Parcel 24; addional property owners Bieling, Lisa and
Jeffrey Unit 2. The applicant proposes reconstrucon of the exisng dock and
extending it 13 feet, for a total of 29 feet long. The floats will be shortened to
two (2) 8’x16’ floats, and the dock is proposed to be raised up three (3) feet.
Revised plan from last meeng: 24”X36” The revisions are on the new plan;
the 2 floats will be turned 90 degrees to be parallel to the waterway. (Floats
sizes 8’x16’ and 8’x19’) . Waterways Commiee requested vessel placed on
outside of floang dock at end of gangway have a “vessel restricon” of 9.4 Beam
and Harbormaster agrees due to limited space within channel to navigate.
