Dear Property Owner,
Notice is hereby given in accordance with the Code of the Town of Barnstable,g Chapter 51,
Numbering of Buildings, adopted August 18, 1994. Public convenience and necessity require
the assignment of numbers 47 to the front residence and 49 to the rear residence on your property
located on Rendezvous Lane, Barnstable.
This number should be affixed.to your building,so that it is visible from the streetaas outlined in
Exhibit"E", Town of Barnstable Rules and Regulations for Numbering.of Buildings.
Barnstable Fire Department has agreed with this change of address to,comply with the Town of
Barnstable Rules and Regulations.
The previous address for Parcel No. 279/024 was 49 Rendezvous Lane,Barnstable only.

Aagicnment: (Ref: Section I Article V). The Assignment of
building numbers will be under the direction of: T9= 'Rnqineer. �.
Method of N"umb_e EsWt ,Z: shMent: (Refs Section 1 1 tole U).
The town will utilize a system of .numbers issued by roadway
:stationing. Whereas, a slumber may be assigned every 1_0' along
the centerline of the roadway. The beginning of stationing will
start at (A) the main road in which the new road -originates, p)
the entrance of the road closest to the nearest District -Fizz
Department or (C) the cul-de-sac Closest to the main road (in the
event of a double ended road) "Evert" numbers will be issued to
lots priWily on the north or east side of the roadway. "ODD"
numbers will be issued to fats primarily on the south Qr west
side .of the roadway.
Goxner Lots: Building numbers are assigned to .all roads that the
property abuts. Sowever,, access i.s critical to pxopertj location
therefore, field inspection may be required to verify proper
number.
Unnamed. ass: Unnamed roads, easements, rights of waya will be
addressed from the main -road in whiph' the nzay takes access.
"Ways off of" will not be toaagnized = individual addressing.
Notez. Unofticaial road names will not be recognized for assigning
building numbers.
Leal aess; Numbers will be assigned to all roads abutting a
lot or parcel.. The town will not be responsible to prove legal
access fox Number assignments for abutting roads. However,
numbere will not be aevi.gned for lots that do not abut the _taad
in question unless an alternate legal access can be proven by the
property owner. Driveways in common. will only be recognized for
numbering with proof of legal access over other tots. Lots that.
abut roads outside of town. boundary li.nees- must obtain building

numbering of those. roads.

Numbers: The objeati.ve'of this section is to 'insure the posting
of µ numbers adequate ,.in size and color so as to be visible -from.
the road on which the number was Issuad.
Size: The size of the numbers shall be not less than three
inches nor more than twelve .inches in height.
Color3 The color of the numbere shall be of high contrast with
the background material. - - Black on .white is. , optimum, brass
nu-mbers on neutral colored background or .unfinished siding is not
acceptable.
Shane.: The shape of the numbers shall be Axabic. Roinan
Numerals, script or written shall not be used..
Location: Numbers shall.'be visible from both directions from the
maim road that the numbers were i.sstied Numbers shall. be 'posted
on the building' at eye level., preferably at the main entrance.
Aui.ldings whiab are not vi,si.bl,e from the road, or not located
w1thin 100 feet of 'the .road, shall have the Numbers affixed on the
building, so that they are visible `from the d3riveway and, at the
road entrance of the driveway. A mail box, past, wooden sign or

Assignment of Enforcement: Notice of incorrect or nonposting of
numbers may he foxvArderl to the Police Department for issuance of
noncriminal, citation as outlined in Section 6, Article V. If, .
after 30 days_ of notification of violation, the property; owner
has failed'to' affix visible street numbers as assigned by the
Town Engineer, a noncriminal citation shall be- i s.oued.
