There were three violations at 53 Thornton. There was household trash in a Ferreira dumpster without a cover in violation of Town of Barnstable Nuisance ordinance §353-2. There was a five gallon oil bucket lying on its side which I stood up and put on the blacktop. This open bucket violates §108.9 Prohibitions. Oil shall be stored in a safe manner to avoid going onto the ground. There was many air conditioning units on the ground behind#53 Thornton (more than 10). This violates §353-1 Responsibilities of Owners and Occupants. This debris must be cleaned up and disposed of in a lawful manner. Lizotte May 10, 1985 Mr. John Kelley Barnstable Board of Health Main Street Hyannis, MA. 02601 re: Lot 24, 27 Thornton - Drive, Hyannis, MA. Dear Mr. Kelley: Please allow this letter to confirm our telephone con- versation of the other day. I am representing Joseph Rodrigues, the owner :of the above-referenced property. You have advised me that your department' s regulations limit spetic flow to 330 gallons. And that in order to abide by this regulation there can be no more than 10 employees or occupants in total for both the existing building and the proposed building. We agree to abide by this and in fact I will insert a restriction in the Master ,Deed of the Condominium to this effect. I will send you a copy of the Master Deed for your records. For your information, there should be no problem with this restriction because the proposed buyers of the existing building want to use it for strictly warehouse purposes, storing furniture and appliances and carpet and linoleum. If you have any questions concerning this or if you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am Very truly yours, DTM ., Peter A. I constructed the building in 1982/83. Since its construction there have been tenants in the automotive.repair business continuously occupying the building. Current owners of neighboring properties can offer independent statements to confirm these facts. At this time automobile repair shops continue to operate in the building and to the best of my knowledge there has never been a release of hazardous products and we are currently connected to the town sewer system. Sincer Richard Clark Owner ` c.c. Thomas Geiler 6;N' - After that tenant left there were a series of tenants that principally dealt with the repairing of vehicles and equipment. In every situation.recall the normal storage of oils, solvents, antifreeze and similar products.
