The additional pier section has been purchased and was installed last season. The applicant was advised that the extra section was not part of the approval and has not been deployed this season. Steps from the 8'x 8' platform down to die pier have been replaced with an additional 8' ramping pier section, and die 12' pier sections more closely measure 12.4'. The pier, as originally approved, provided approximately 3.5' of water at die stern of a boat and approximately 2.5' at die bow of the boat- based on the controlled lake high elevation. Through the last 2 seasons we have found that die lake can lower approximately 2' through die season, leaving only 6" of under the bow. The additional pier length provides approximately 6" of additional water depth, which provides some level of safety under the bow along this rocky shoreline. In addition, die revised plan shows a landing off die bottom of die steps provided year round access to the shoreline, including for the seasonal installation and removal of die pier. The platform is elevated 3'-4', so that when die seasonal pier is removed there is no access to the shoreline. I trust thhis meets your needs. Regards, - Jon �)Y'Dea,' P.E.
