Dear Commissioner's:
The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries (MA DMF) has reviewed the Notice
of Intent by the Town of Barnstable to perform maintenance repairs to the Bismore
Park bulkhead within Hyannis Inner Harbor at 180 Ocean Street in the Town of
Hyannis. Proposed repairs will be against the existing bulkhead and include sheet pile
plating repairs, epoxy recoating, and the installation of anodes. All repairs will take
place within the same footprint as the existing structures. Based on the scope of work
as currently proposed, MA DMF has no recommendations for sequencing, timing, or
methods that would further avoid or minimize impacts to marine resources at this
time.
