The project will go out to public bid and the lowest qualified bidder will likely be awarded the contract, so we are not sure who the contractor will be at this point. However, we are planning to include the vacuum equipped wire brush equipment as a project requirement in the bid documents and the contractor will be required to submit informaon about the specific brush/vacuum system they are using prior to construcon. We could provide the equipment submial to Conservaon for review prior to approval. If determined to be necessary to the project by the Commission, we could add a debris boom be in place during the work as a requirement for the project. Jeramy M. Packard, P.E. Can the vacuum collect all the coang being scraped off. I know the narrave under 6.2 states no debris will enter the waterway, but who is the contractor whom will confirm this? If you look at Chapter 703-2 definion of Dock and Pier it includes bulkheads which in turn includes required shellfish survey. Can you shed some light?
