HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-10-01 RPP Subregional Hearings HEARING NOTICE CAPE COD COMMISSION SUBCOMMITTEE REGIONAL POLICY PLAN UPDATE SUB-REGIONAL PUBLIC HEARINGS Pursuant to Sections 8(h) of the Cape Cod Commission Act and Chapter C of the Code of Cape Cod Commission Regulations of General Application, a Cape Cod Commission subcommittee will hold three (3) initial public hearings to assist the Commission in its five-year review and potential amendment of the 2018 Regional Policy Plan (RPP), as amended in 2021. The Regional Policy Plan is intended to present a coherent set of regional planning policies and objectives to guide development throughout Barnstable County and to protect the region’s resources. Sub-regional public hearings will be held on the following dates: • October 1, 2024 at 9:30 AM – HYBRID MEETING Barnstable County Complex, 3195 Main Street, MaryPat Flynn Conference Room, Barnstable, MA 02630 This meeting can be attended by using any of the following methods:     o In person at the Barnstable County Complex, Mary Pat Flynn Conference Room, 3195 Main Street, Barnstable, MA 02630 o Online by clicking on the following link: www.capecodcommission.org/ccc/join passcode: join o Calling in to (929) 205-6099 and entering meeting ID 968 0382 0087 • October 1, 2024 at 1:30 PM Mashpee Public Library, Events Room, 64 Steeple Street, Mashpee, MA 02649 • October 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM Eastham Public Library, Greg Turner Room, 190 Samoset Road, Eastham, MA 02642 Following such hearings, the Commission shall prepare an amended draft of the Regional Policy Plan. Such draft shall be subject to further hearings and oral and written comment pursuant to Section 3(b) of said Chapter C. This notice is being published as required by the Cape Cod Commission Act. All interested persons will have an opportunity to comment at the hearing.  Written comments may also be submitted by mail to the Cape Cod Commission, P.O. Box 226, 3225 Main St. Barnstable, MA 02630 or online using the form located at https://capecodcommission.org/comment. As related documents become available, they may be accessed at www.capecodcommission.org/ccc and will be available for public inspection at the Commission’s office by appointment during normal business hours.  Reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities are available upon request.
