(IEC) concerning the above mentioned undeveloped property located at the intersection of Red Wing Lane and Route GA in Barnstable, MA. IEC conducted a site inspection and evaluation of the property on 7-10-22 to delineate the boundaries of wetlands located within the subject property. This inspection occurred during the summer season, during full leaf out conditions. The day of the inspection was sunny, dry, and 74 degrees. This subject property is an undeveloped parcel of land, forested land, with very dense vegetative cover within the existing vegetative community. The property contains a large freshwater wetland resource area located within the low-lying topographical areas within the subject property. The subject wooded wetland (wooded swamp) contains large pooling areas, greater than 50% wetland vegetation, hydric soils, saturated soils, and very high groundwater elevations. IEC has delineated the edge of wetlands with the flags A-A15, and Bl -BlO. There is a SO' buffer zone and a 100' buffer zone associated with the edge of wetlands. The wetlands continue off property. Another isolated wetland is located just off property at the intersection of Redwing Lane and Route GA, on the other side of Redwing Lane. IEC has set a wetland flag Cl, at the edge of Redwing Lane. This wetland is a seasonal vernal pool wetland. The 50' buffer zone and the 100' buffer zone associated with the edge of wetlands extends across Redwing Lane, onto this subject parcel of land located at 56 Redwing Lane. The subject freshwater wetlands and wetland buffer zones are under the jurisdiction of the Barnstable Conservation Commission, and DEP SERO. Paul J.
