Dear Commissioners:
The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries (MA DMF) has reviewed the Notice
of Intent by Michael Carosotto of the United States Coast Guard to remove the
Danger VAIS and Daybeacon ATON from the Nantucket Sound in the Town of
Barnstable. Based on the scope of work as currently proposed, MA DMF has no
additional recommendations for sequencing, timing, or methods that would further
avoid or minimize impacts to marine resources at this time.
