Also west of Rt.132 appears to be wrongly added to the 4 C's area. That is the YMCA and Cape Cod Conservatory and Burger King and Mobil gas station land. Please clean up and shrink this area to the correct size. ▪Coordinate study for on the impact of future development on downgradient properties Independence Village Area Master Plan ▪Explore opportunities for housing (including affordable options) as well as small bays, warehouses and vehicle parking for contractors and small businesses Public Comment: Future Land Use Map West End Neighborhood Area Master Plan ▪Expand boundary to the east to the West End Rotary and to the north to Falmouth Road to include additional residential neighborhoods Route 132 Corridor Study Area ▪Explore opportunities for contractor bays ▪Explore opportunities for high efficiency affordable housing located nearby exits to mitigate future traffic issues and access Maritime Areas ▪Why aren't the town dock, Hooper's Landing, and the Little River neighborhoods designated as "Maritime Areas?" Most of the town's moorings are placed adjacent to these locations and represent important centers for both commercial and recreational uses. Public Comment: Future Land Use Map Protect Water Quality ▪There should be a comprehensive plan for the regular maintenance of the Cotuit channel and the refreshment of the east end of Dead Neck with the accrued sand at the Cotuit end ▪Mashpee is attempting to clean up Poponessett Bay, but no one is taking care of Shoestring Bay, which is already shellfish restricted and increases in algae and bacteria each year. Consider feasibility of restoring herring run in the Twin Brooks watershed. ▪Study innovative strategies for septic solutions to protect groundwater quality for areas not proposed to be improved with sewer as defined in the Town’s Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP) Public Comment: Actions Improve Accessibility ▪Bike path on West Main Street connecting to Downtown ▪Protected shared-use path on West Main Street connecting to Route 28 ▪Extend Cape Cod Rail Trail through Hyannis ponds to connect to Independence Village Area ▪Create a multiuse path to connect the Village and Conservation areas ▪Improve ADA accessibility, add walk signals to improve safety at crossings at the intersection of Main Street and Old Colony and widen sidewalks along Old Colony to Aselton Park ▪Lack of sidewalks and bike paths for residents accessing workplaces and shopping on Route 28 and 132 ▪Bike path/dedicated lane to connect West End/W. Hyport hotels and rentals to beaches and snack bars Public Comment: Actions Improve Traffic ▪West Main Street, Pitcher’s Way, Lincoln Road, and Craigville Beach Road ▪What can be done to discourage the use of Sampson Mill Road and Quinaquisset Ave/School Street as a shortcut/bypass for drivers attempting to avoid Route 28 traffic? ▪Pine Street, Main Street and South Main Street in Centerville where traffic has increased significantly by motorists avoiding congestion on West Main St and Rt 28 between South County Rd and Strawberry Hill Rd Cape Cod Gateway Airport ▪Strategic analysis of the Cape Cod Gateway Airport Public Comment: Actions West End Neighborhood: Proposed Boundary Amendment West End Neighborhood : Proposed Boundary Amendment Community College: Proposed Boundary Amendment Community College: Proposed Boundary Amendment Other Changes?
